The high-precision gear transmission system requires no maintenance and is more powerful than the belt transmission system of SOLYS 2. The maximum effective load capacity has increased to 80kg, and the torque has also been increased to 60Nm, so the SOLYS Gear Drive can carry various and/or heavy-duty load instruments and other load devices. Its integrated GPS receiver can automatically configure location and very accurate time information during installation.
The included user interface software can remotely monitor and record data such as tracker status, solar zenith angle, solar azimuth angle, GPS time and date. This software can also be used to set various communication parameters, such as fixed or manually set IP addresses and baud rates. The integrated web interface can be used to visualize operational parameters (obtain and set operational parameters), download historical log files, or upload available new firmware.
